  • Tissue cells from another species (porcine
  • Also known as Urinary Bladder Matrix
  • Encourages tissue ingrowth for large, deep wounds
  • Prepares wounds for closure or skin grafting
  • May require multiple applications

Appearance

  • Thin, gooey white-grey gelatinous sheet
  • Difficult to view if placed inside deep wound beds
  • Fully reabsorbs into the wound over 4-6 weeks

Dressing Frequency

  • Change every 5-7 days
  • Frequency may increase based on wound appearance and drainage

Dressing Care

HBOT is used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including:
  • Before 7 days: Keep xeroform in place if possible.
  • After 7 days:
    • Gently remove the outer dressing and xeroform layer.
    • Drizzle with Vashe.
    • Apply wound gel directly to xeroform then apply to wound and cover to dry dressing
    • DO NOT USE SILVADENE.

Warning

HBOT is used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including:
  • ACELL IS EASILY DISLODGED WITH DRESSING CHANGES.
  • WHEN VAC IS USED OVER ACELL, USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN CHANGING.
